The Garden Snail may be a notorious threat to crops (if its Bestiary entry is to be believed), but it's little more than a joke even to a Level 0 party. It is also vulnerable to Poison, allowing it to be worn down easily over time. In both games, the Snail resists Fire, Wind, and Water, but is weak to Ice, Earth, and Bio. As such, Snails are usually bottom-priority targets that can be safely ignored until all other foes are dead. Although it can tuck into its shell to improve its defenses, its numerous weaknesses and generally low stats (including below-average Evade) allow the party to kill it with ease, even without removing its defensive buffs.
